Hydrogen Day!
ZeroAvia to Celebrate Hydrogen Day at U.S. Department of Energy’s Hydrogen Americas Summit

Because the atomic weight of hydrogen is 1.008, October 8 (10/08 in the U.S.) has been celebrated as Hydrogen Day. This year, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Sustainable Energy Council are marking the occasion with the 2nd Hydrogen Americas Summit on October 10 and 11 in Washington, DC. ZeroAvia’s CTO for Hydrogen, Rudolf Coertze, will speak at the event about hydrogen’s role in aviation, as part of a panel on day 2 looking at hydrogen mobility applications across land, air and sea.

In addition to Rudolf’s presentation, ZeroAvia will host a booth at the 2-day summit, and we encourage you to visit. Staff will be ready to explain the science behind our hydrogen-electric aircraft powertrains and discuss our progress toward abating aviation’s growing contribution to climate change. If you want to meet with our representatives at Hydrogen Americas Summit, please, fill in the form below to book your appointment.
The Hydrogen Americas Summit is a flagship event for DOE’s hydrogen agenda, with top-line speakers including U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm as well as other leading policy makers, technology developers, and manufacturers from across North and South America. The clean hydrogen production incentives in the recent Inflation Reduction Act and the hydrogen hub investment in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act make this year’s summit an even more important moment in the global transition to hydrogen.
